Ever since I updated the site logo I started getting t-shirt requests, not many, maybe one or two a week. But it started me thinking. I realized that I wanted a t-shirt. Maybe I'd wear it out and about, and maybe..someone would ask me about it! So I started researching what it takes to make t-shirts. Holy rabbit-hole Batman. It seems that the entire Internet is trying to convince you that you can be a t-shirt millionaire - "just buy my book on how to do it!!"
I even - oh so briefly - considered printing them locally and hand shipping them myself. Yeah, no.
So I picked Spreadshirt because they seemed to have a fairly standard set of shirts, from simple to American Apparel level (I bought the simple one, it's quite nice), a fairly easy interface and the ability to host the storefront on my site. (I spent 4 days trying to wedge WooCommerce into my blog...ugh, I want that time back!)
Most of the cost of the shirt goes to them. I keep 5 bucks. I hesitate to advertise a 'for sale' product to you, as generous a group of supporters I could I could hope for, but in the off chance that you too would like one of these, I simply announce their existence.
All new Spreadshirt shops get a 15% off coupon for the first 2 weeks that the shop is open, so there are 12 or so days left to get the deal. There's a button for the coupon on the page. Again, I don't decide these things, I'd love to offer free shirts to all my patrons, but I don't think Spreadshirt would let that happen!
If you do feel like getting one, send me a photo of you wearing it!
Now...back to sounds.
Thank you all for your continuing support.
best,
Tim
