New Ambience: "Lucha Libre!"
Added 2015-11-13 19:09:15 +0000 UTCWhen I first got a request for a wrestling/lucha type ambience I wasn't sure. About any of it really. I kind of knew about Mexico's masked wrestlers, but it was mostly through parody, or quick site gags in comedy films. But actually going down the rabbit hole - watching fights, reading about the history and the culture, was..eye opening.
This track also presented a few interesting challenges from an audio perspective. It took a few days but I finally think I got something that sounds true.
Like pro wrestling, creating natural sounding ambiences, is a lie. Unless of course, you understand that beneath the artifice, there is beauty.
