Greetings Patrons,
I've been working on some new functionality for the SoundPads lately and I needed to take a break from writing code. Ambiences are such a different part of the brain that it makes it really easy to switch between the two disciplines. I wanted to do something fun and lively and decided that a 'Roaring 20s' themed ambience should fit the bill.
A time of unbridled, post-war enthusiasm for everything, and everything to excess. Music, booze, drugs, fashion, art, sex. Young and old brazenly rebelled against the ‘noble experiment’ that was prohibition and flocked to speakeasies. Some were dark basements where you were lucky if you didn’t die from the ‘bathtub gin’ and some, like Harlem’s famed Cotton Club, openly ignored the law with live music and dancing.
I filed this one under 'historical' but there's no reason you couldn't use this in a modern game either!
Back soon with more things. Thanks for your continuing support.
best,
Tim
