New SoundPad - Dark Forest

Greetings Patrons!

I'm releasing the 2nd SoundPad interactive audio tool today. It's called "Dark Forest". It should work great for fantasy and horror games. As always, I'd love to hear how you use it.

For the uninitiated, SoundPad differs from my 10min ambiences in that it offers individual sounds that can be combined by the user to create different audio environments. The first SoundPad "The Dungeon" was released a few weeks ago.

I hope you have the opportunity to play around with it.

Happy gaming!

New SoundPad - Dark Forest

Thanks! I'll add your swamp suggestion to the list.

Great Work! My suggestion for the next SoundPad: A Swamp. The best is: You can recycle a lot of the Dark Forst sounds. By the way... Have you ever though about a iPad- or Android-App of Tabletop Audio in the future? This would probably reduce the bandwith costs and it works better on tablet computers. On my iPad the website is not very reactive with a lot of lags. (sorry for my bad english)

I agree!

The dungeon set needs a trap sound, clockworks, wheels turning, springs going off etc... you could probably do a whole soundpad on traps.

Kevin

Just amazing.

Wow!! First time I try the Soundpad!! You really need to make one like this for Sci-Fi Settings!!! So cool!!!

Simon Zed

Thanks! and cool, I hadn't seen that yet :)

Tabletop Audio

Great stuff! Also, congrats on the ENnie nomination - well deserved!

Jonas Richter

Ah fair enough. Perhaps a way to make it a more occasional sound so there's less constant clashing.

You make a great point and I actually debated this for awhile! One of the challenges with these is that the sounds need to work well with each other. When I used leaf noises in the wind I found that they were great on their own but tended to compete with the rain, and also a bit with the campfire. Too much high end percussive crackle. I may give this another go at some point. .

Tabletop Audio

Very, very cool - thank you for putting this together.

I like it but I'm shocked there's no wind through the trees sounds. The wind is just generic howling wind.
