Short story: Whatever you say
Added 2023-04-06 20:16:02 +0000 UTCI finished writing a short story that has some potential to be expanded on, or it could be a one off. Feel free to comment if you would like to see it continue or not. Its about 2000 words long, and includes themes of m/f and accidental hypnosis.

I think the "accidental" part is that he wasn't going to have things go the direction they did until he was pushed into a corner.

And he didn't expect them to not watch it, he just didn't expect that the person watching it would perceive it as being shorter in duration than it really was as a result of his suggestion.

And if he thought that nobody would watch it before it was broadcast, that they would just put up an advert without checking what it was, then he's a total fucking idiot.

2023-04-08 20:21:47 +0000 UTCYeah, I think those situations are covered under the "accidental hypnosis" theme. Similarly to how putting a love potion into someone's drink and someone else drinking it would be accidental hypnosis even though you did intentionally use the love potion.

2023-04-08 18:14:27 +0000 UTCI would say that is closer to "mishap" than "accidental". He clearly *did* intend it to hypnotise, it just didn't do quite what he thought it would.

2023-04-08 14:10:02 +0000 UTCI dropped a few hints on how it was accidental; the price being less than half what he expected, them not waking up right away, and nobody remembering the duck. Basically, the commercial was cut short because the person who received the file watched it and became convinced it was shorter than it was, cutting off the second half of the instructions when added to the schedule.
