On 9/11 I just came home from school (7th grade) and saw the second plane flying in live. I remember waking up my mom, because she was on night shift and still sleeping, telling her that two planes flew into the World Trade Center in New York. For the rest of the day we were just watching the news.

9/11 is my birthday. I was in school that day and my dad was working in NYC near the towers. I was absolutely freaking out all day wondering if he was okay and thank God, he was fine and got out of the city before they shut down all of the exits and entrances and he picked me up from school. I was so relieved and happy to see him. I remember seeing the dark clouds of smoke in the sky, you could see it all the way from NYC, it was wild . Some of my classmates parents died in the towers, it was so sad.

Rue's drug trip scenes are so intense sometimes like I felt like I was on drugs watching this show sometimes. And I've never looked into the scene where she's crawling up the walls but that part was insane, so curious what all they did there.

This show is so well directed and aesthetically pleasing. The score as well.

Yeah this show depicts the dark side of late-teenage life. As well as their families. It's unfortunately some people's reality. Great discussion at the end.

I was in class in the 3rd grade when a teacher came into our class and told my teacher to turn on her TV and they stood there and we all watched and I don't think I really understood what was going on but we could all tell it was very bad.
