Dev Log #3

Hey people! I've been working my butt off since the release of Chapter 1 and have a few things to share with you!

Profile Menu Redesign

The profile menu has been through a complete overhaul both visually and functionally!

Some things will be immediately noticeable from the screenshot here, but let me break down all of the changes.

• Complete UI Redesign.

• Implemented non-american values for heights/weights.

• Added a toggleable "!" icon to indicate things that are new. It will mark each new thing (like memories and outfits) in their respective menus until they are hovered.

• Added a search function. It can even be used on top of filters and sorting.

• Reshot all of the portrait images to account for the improved graphics coming with Chapter 2.

This design may be subject to further change, but I'm pretty happy with it the way it is. Feel free to leave some feedback or ask questions about it.

Code and Writing

I've already begun coding and writing for Chapter 2, with some exciting things coming. Can't really say much here without spoiling things. However, I expect to be making much bigger progress on these fronts very soon.

Renders

No official renders have been done for Chapter 2 yet, but I have been playing around with the graphics quite a bit to get them to a point I would consider satisfactory. They're looking quite a bit better than anything that was present in Chapter 1, in my opinion, so I hope they will be to all of your liking!

Some sneak peaks will be dropping in the near future that use the improved visuals for subscribers who receive those benefits to look forward to. For all the free subscribers, don't worry, free 4k wallpapers will still be a thing when certain milestones are reached and you'll see the visuals ahead of release as well. Although, it likely won't be as soon... sorry.

Dev Talk

Since release I've been more focused on marketing and getting the game to reach a larger audience, with dev work being sprinkled in between that. Starting today, I'm not going to worry too much about that anymore and fully dive back into development of Chapter 2.

I can't give an exact estimate on when Chapter 2 will be coming, as it will be larger and more in-depth than the first, but it should be no longer than 4 months. If things go my way with IRL responsibilities, it could be sooner.

I've gotten feedback of all flavors (absolutely lovely, and downright hateful) from the various places my game is advertised. I want to say thank you to ALL of you who felt it was worth leaving a comment or opening a discussion about. I really didn't expect to get nearly the amount of attention that I have and, good or bad, I love hearing what you all have to say and having things to think about for the future of this project.
