I feel for Niklaus I really do, and that line about that night being what caused him to lose what he felt was the last shred of his humanity, oh it made me wanna give him a hug. Klaus has been through a lot, and let's be honest Rebekah is always falling in love with everyone, that girl is all rose colored glasses when it comes to men. I love Rebekah, but to me she crossed a huge line when she did what she did by calling Mikael and I don't fault Klaus for feeling the rage he does. I enjoy seeing the flashbacks it helps understand him more. Also it still feels weird to me that she fell for her nephew lol.

2025-08-05 00:51:02 +0000 UTCMikael was already abusive to Klaus before finding out he was a bastard so I don’t think that was why he hated him. Rebekah said in TVD S3 that Mikael’s pride was magnified when he became a vampire so I think the main reason why he wanted to kill Klaus was because he was a living reminder of the fact that Esther cheated on him.
