2025-07-07 06:10:17 +0000 UTCI honestly don't feel bad for Belinda, she was the one that said Rachel can come to her and then when she did, she projected her frustration about the situation with Tanya onto Rachel. Belinda didn't set any boundaries, and also, she was using Tanya to get herself an investment so, it's not like she actually cared about Tanya. That was evident when she had the phone call with her son and he said do whatever it takes to get the bag. And as for Paula, she knows that Olivia isn't a good friend because of their past conflicts, and she knows that her family is ignorant yet she still sticks around, so I don't empathize for her. Neither Paula nor Belinda were wronged directly, Paula chose to try and get her friend's family robbed and caused injury, and Belinda's relationship with Tanya was completely transactional as well so, their endings were a result of their own decisions.

We're not talking about a systemic organization, but Paula got a free vacation from a family friend, and then got her friend's parents injured. Paula knows they're ignorant, and she also knows Olivia isn't a good friend because of the past history of Olivia stealing her guy, but she still stays friends with her to reap the benefits of their wealth.

If Belinda didn't open that door, then Rachel wouldn't have come to her. She took out her frustration about Tanya on Rachel.

2025-07-06 23:44:26 +0000 UTCIgli you're kind of harsh on Paula. I think y'all kind of missed a lot of why Paula did what she did with Kai because y'all talked over those pivotal scenes. Paula is the token friend of color who's just enough of a minority to make Olivia seem like she's "woke" but not too much of a minority to close Olivia out of spaces. Paula was right, this is Olivia's tribe. As for why she went on vacation with them, it's probably a lot like why Rachel married Shane. These situations are complex. Yeah it's shitty what happened to the Mossbachers but in the grand scheme of things it's nothing compared to what will happen to Kai and what has happened to Kai's people. Paula will always be a woman of color, there’s no blending in or anything she can really do to not be an outsider.
