My sister had it for like 3 months- it's a nightmare. Imagine being a parent and your infant is just screaming crying for hours on end and nothing you do helps. As to the doctor, I think he's power-tripping at least. He delivered that baby news terribly. Maliciously, even. Like "you can't get rid of me, I know you wanted to keep me a secret but now I, the man who's been treating you so harshly, is responsible for the care of your wife." That, in combination with his natural fears of what he may pass on or how he may deal with being a father, is enough to set anyone off. If the news had been delivered gently by Charlotte, he might have had a panic attack but seems like a psychotic break would have been less likely. But the Doctor was all slimy about it. I feel like he was weaponizing the news, hoping to bring George back down to his dungeon.
