They were still dating in real life here! They didn't break up until May 2013! This was still 2012. They broke up after season 4 was over. Season 5 they were broken up.

Yes, she was physically sired to his will, but like The Witch and Tyler explained, her feelings were already there, just made stronger. So he didn't "sire" her love, just her physical will.
