Honestly, I finished the show and I still don't really get it! 🫠🥲🤯 But I only watched it once so maybe this revisit with you guys will help me out lol

Igli was spot on, the answers were always there from the beginning. In the photograph that Ulrich picks up Mads is wearing the same yellow jumper that he was wearing when they found him. That's the lightbulb moment for Ulrich, that then prompts him to check the body and he finds the scar confirming it is Mads.

They wouldn't think that body came from the 80s which is also why Ulrich didn't think "Oh, that's my brother's body from 33 years ago." They don't know time travel is a thing.
