I forget that Blake's a wittle baby child and wasn't in school when all the scene boys were out here dressing exactly like that character, Eric. Lol

Sorry in advance for this long ass comment 🤣 My journey with Twilight is interesting... I went to see them all in the cinema but I was never a diehard fan. I started reading the first book but I couldn't finish it because it was so bad imo. The books/movies have not aged well. Besides Bella and Edward just being incredibly awkward, cringe and boring (it's weird but I feel no chemistry between them whatsoever, yet they dated IRL), their unhealthy and toxic relationship is romanticised and glorified (like Christian and Ana in Fifty Shades of Grey, which ironically was originally written as Twilight fan-fiction). It's SO problematic. It baffles me how Edward's abusive, controlling and stalker-y behaviour was/is considered not only normal but romantic. I still think Jacob's a more interesting character, despite his lack of screen time (not a spoiler but just know that he's more involved in the rest of the movies). Charlie is the best and I love the Cullen family (besides Edward 😂). That being said, these movies are a guilty pleasure, though I mainly just enjoy roasting the hell out of them and watching other people watching them/roasting them 🤣 Also, Kristen Stewart may not be the best actress in the world but she's better than people give her credit for. The character of Bella is just so boring and one-dimensional, so she doesn't really get to show off her acting chops in this role. She starred and was great in a thriller called Panic Room when she was just 11/12 years old, alongside Jodie Foster, Forest Whitaker and Jared Leto. I haven't seen Batman but Robert Pattinson isn't bad either. Have none of y'all seen Harry Potter? He was in the 4th movie (Goblet of Fire), that's where I first saw him. Taylor Lautner was a child actor but hasn't quite had the same amount of success post-Twilight as the other two (as far as movies go). He also hasn't acted in a while, besides being in the biographical sports comedy movie Home Team and making an amazing appearance in Taylor Swift's music video for I Can See You (while being the most liked of her exes). Now he hosts a podcast with his wife, who, since marrying him, is also called Taylor Lautner 😂 I know people have already mentioned Nikki Reed (Rosalie) being married to Ian Somerhalder, but she also starred in the movie Thirteen which she co-wrote with Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, who was kind of her stepmum for a while (the movie is loosely based on Nikki's life as a teenager). Also, Elizabeth Reaser (Esme) was in The Haunting of Hill House but she also had a recurring role on Grey's Anatomy (if you've seen that). And I'm pretty sure this was Anna Kendrick's (Jessica) first big role but you didn't even seem to recognise her. None of y'all seen Pitch Perfect? 😆 Fun facts/details: Author Stephenie Meyer's first choice to play Bella was Emily Browning, who was asked to audition but turned it down. Jennifer Lawrence, Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Michelle Trachtenberg and Frances Bean Cobain (daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love) also auditioned for the role. Kristen Stewart was recommended by Emile Hirsch, her co-star from Into the Wild. She was actually the director's first choice to play Bella after seeing her in that. Henry Cavill was Stephenie's first choice to play Edward. However, by the time production was to begin, he was "too old". He was then offered the part of Carlisle but turned it down due to his commitment with The Tudors. Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) was among 4 finalists. Robert Pattinson had never heard of the books and only attended casting because his agent persuaded him and he liked Kristen Stewart's performance in Into the Wild (she had already been cast). He flew from England to Catherine Hardwicke's house to audition. There, he and Kristen rehearsed the "love scene/meadow scene" on Catherine's own bed. As soon as he was cast, he moved to Oregon (where the movie was filmed) and started working out 5 hours a day with a trainer. He also didn't talk to anyone the weeks before filming began to try and feel as isolated as Edward. Tyler Posey was Stephenie Meyer's first choice to play Jacob and he made it far in the audition process. He would later land the leading role of a werewolf on MTV's Teen Wolf.  Stephenie wanted Tom Welling (Clark Kent/Superman in Smallville) as Emmett, while Cam Gigandet (James) was originally cast. However, he asked the director if he could play the role of James instead and she agreed. Robert Pattinson wrote and sang two songs to the movie: "Never Think" which plays during the restaurant scene and "Let Me Sign" which plays during the scene where Edward has to drink Bella's blood to save her. Nikki Reed actually secretly recorded him singing and playing guitar in-between filming. She then took it to the director and producers where they fell in love with his songs, and the next day they asked Rob if he could record a few of his songs for the soundtrack and he reluctantly accepted. He is also actually playing the piano. Additionally, Rob's sister, Lizzy Pattinson, is singing background vocals in the song playing when Edward first enters the cafeteria. It was Kristen Stewart, however, who suggested the prom dance song "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" by Iron & Wine. The way Edward holds the apple in the cafeteria is indeed a nod to the book cover, they do that for all the books/movies. Catherine Hardwicke said that it took them 13 takes to get it right. The apple is not only a symbol for the forbidden but in Scandinavian mythology it is a symbol for eternal youth and beauty. However, on her official website, Stephenie Meyer says she used it because of the past literary connections like in Snow White and the Golden Apple Paris gives to Aphrodite in Greek Mythology, because, to her, apple represents choice. Stephenie Meyer was very much involved in the production process. She was on set during filming and even asked to give notes on the script and on a rough cut of the movie. She fought for one line in particular, one of the most well-known from the book about the lion and the lamb. She also makes a cameo in the movie. She is the woman with the laptop at the diner in the scene where Charlie asks Bella if she likes any of the boys in town. Kristen Stewart's stunt double, Katie Powers, also plays a waitress at the diner. Stephanie also wrote Midnight Sun which is basically this book/movie from Edward’s POV. There is also Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, a gender-swapped retelling of this one. This book was originally named Forks. When Bella is searching the internet and finds the link for the bookstore, the link above it is for Little Brown, which is the publisher of the books. The blue and grey color tones (the desaturated turquoise) throughout the movie are supposed to symbolise the coldness of vampires, the dullness of the town and the difficulties of Bella and Edward's relationship. It can also be attributed to the filmmaking style of Catherine Hardwicke who used a similar colour selection in Thirteen. The next movie, New Moon, was directed by Chris Weitz who used warmer brown and orange colors. The colour of a vampire's eyes in Twilight changes based on their diet and thirst levels. Vampires with golden/yellow eyes like the Cullens only consume animal blood (they call themselves "vegetarians"), making them more capable of being around humans. Black eyes indicate the need to feed. Vampires with red eyes usually only consume human blood. Newborns also have bright red eyes due to the human blood still present in them. All of the Cullens can be seen wearing jewelry with the same symbol on it (the Cullen family crest). Edward, Jasper and Emmett all have the same wristband, Alice and Rosalie have similar necklaces, Esme has a bracelet and Carlisle has a ring. Also, Peter Facinelli had the idea for his character to be frequently seen wearing scarves and/or shirts with high collars. In the scene where Bella goes to the Cullen's house for the first time and Rosalie breaks the bowl, Nikki Reed actually cut her hands in a previous take (which is why she is wearing gloves). The red contacts worn by Laurent, Victoria and James were hand-painted by Catherine Hardwicke. All the actors portraying vampires were asked to stay out of the sun as much as possible. When Bella and Edward are lying in the meadow, the sun coming through the trees makes a heart between them. And when they are entering prom, Victoria can be seen at a slot machine to Bella's right.

Great reaction. The vampire mother Esme is from haunting of hill house, she played Shirley.

Ah, the soundtrack to this movie <3.

Interesting facts. 1. The house where the Cullens live belongs to one of the executives of Nike. It's known as the Hoke House. 2. Robert Pattinson sings the song Let Me Sign that is played while Edward sucks out the blood. 3. The meadow scene where they lay on the grass is the most important scene in the book, but was not filmed during the first part of filming and was done as a reshoot on a gulf course. 4. The color of the vampires' eyes is affected by their diet. Black eyes mean they haven't eaten. Golden brown is when they eat animals. Red is when they drink human blood.

Lol I was also getting Anakin/Padme vibes from Edward and Bella. Now I'm just waiting for Edward to start talking about how much he hates sand ugh.

I unironically love these movies but this was rough lmao

I have a love/hate with this franchise. 😂🤣 This chick took something I loved and gave them awesome powers and even back stories. She just wrote a crappy plot for her characters. 😑 It's cringe cuz it's high school. 😂 Everything in high school was cringe if I remember correctly. Bella also being the most boring human ever created boggled my mind...why all these boys wanna hook up with her when she has zero personalities and she's just so basic. 🙄 😂 Or that the most interesting Vamp is even attracted to such a basic human food bag...🤔😂
