Was I hoping for a Goauld like situation from Stargate. The parasite being an intelligent alien species that would start to take over the body of the host, whilst internally communicating with it. Somehow having an intelligent parasite is a better suspect than having a disgusting animal that just eats you from the inside and lays eggs. Either way, body horror certainly achieved 🥶
