I love how the Curse of Contradictions portrays his descent into insanity, which makes sense because if you live your life trying to forget the value of life while continually interacting and engaging with society (since he's building an empire), you're bound to go wrong in the head Ankshelam is potentially the most evil being in the series. Imagine cursing someone to take life the more they care for it, then imagine bestowing that upon them for the rest of eternity. And when you finally find another Immortal person for you to understand and connect with, they kill them as well. Mavis and Zeref were just two innocent children when they were cursed for all eternity. Just like how Mavis spent 6 months not eating anything hoping to die, Zeref spent over half his life also trying to kill himself Also I apologise if my comment on Primordial Magic = One Magic was a spoiler! I just meant to remind you that Lucy speculated that the One Magic was "love", and Mavis saying "the primordial magic me and Zeref sought" is essentially saying "the love we sought", as is revealed this reaction Also the argument of Mavis being asleep forever had me in tears 😭 291 and 292 are coming!! Can't wait for the war to begin (that sounds so wrong-), I adore the writing in the first half of the Alvarez arc
