2025-01-13 15:59:15 +0000 UTCI agree. In terms of episode 202 and 203 I say "filler" cause its easier. Technically filler to an extent. Most filler in FT are technically canon anyway. Zero is top 3 favorite arcs in FT and the filler arc of 204-218 is lower on my list but not at the bottom.

2025-01-13 15:57:11 +0000 UTCEpisodes 202-203 aren't filler, they're omake adaptations. Same with 219-222 and 226. Either way, they're good standalone episodes and many are a must watch IMO. Fairy Tail Zero is easily my favourite arc, so I agree there. I don't know why people mention it separately like here, it's canon and even if it was serialised differently, in the anime it's treated normally so I don't think it needs mentioning. As for the filler arc from 204-218... I like how it ended but it's still my least favourite filler in the entire show so I personally wouldn't be too upset if they skipped it. Doesn't really compare to Key of the Starry Sky for me. That being said, character growth, as you mentioned What is it with Fairy Tail and wedging in filler/semi filler arcs between some of the greatest arcs in the series 😭😭

It's one of those magic types that's overpowered in theory but falls flat in execution; no matter how powerful the magic he's copying, he's still performing the spell for the first time. His attacks won't hit as hard, so they're basically inferior copies. Gray does have good endurance but that's not the only reason he was able to get up from Rufus' copied spells so many times haha Also I know this'll be up on YouTube in a couple of months but I just wanted to let you two know that the episode indicator on the top left of the screen says 177-178 instead 179-180. ^_^ a pretty minor thing but just though I should let you two know!

2025-01-13 12:58:00 +0000 UTCThe fact that it's been over 20 episodes and the "minstrel who sings to the red moon" line is still stuck in your heads is hilarious to me 😭😭 thank you for the laughs Also, a bit of an explanation on them calling Mavis "number one". 初代 (shodai) means "founder" or "first ___", so it's a bit of a translation error but also accurate at the same time; they're basically calling Mavis "first master", because they never refer to the guildmasters by their names due to how much older they are. Before, everyone would just call Makarov master, but now that Mavis is here and Macao is technically also a former guildmaster, referring to them by ordinal honorifics makes things less confusing. Hope this clears that up

Episode 201 is the last episode of the current arc GMG. 201 is also mixed canon and filler. 202 and 203 are filler. Starting at 204 starts a new filler arc. 204-218 for the filler arc. Do what you will with this one. Majority of fans aren't a big fan of this arc but I don't mind it to much. Has some really good moments. I'd recommend not skipping for character growth. From 219 to 222 are stand alone fillers but in my opinion are some of the best single filler. 223-224 is a short 2 ep filler arc. Fun arc tho. 225 and 226 are stand alone filler again. From 227 all the way to 265 is the final canon arc to Fairy Tail 2014 or season 2 if you will. If you decide to skipping fillers the filler episodes I would at least recommend is 219, 220, 223, and 224. After episode 265 is the 12 episode prequel arc called Fairy Tail Zero. Very good arc. Starts at episode 266-277 with episode 268 being a single filler episode. 278 starts the final season of Fairy Tail. No more fillers after this. 278-328 are the last set of episodes. If you guys plan on watching the movies and OVAs, I made in depth guide to help when or if you guys want to watch them. 1. Fairy Tail (2009) - Episode 1-68 2. Some things to note: A couple of the OVAs don’t take place at any specific time, so I listed them when they would logically occur (based on characters appearing/past events referenced) After this it's on to Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest that came out earlier this year and just wrapped up its first season.
