Well the steam always gets the season once it's finished, so it will take a while, but fingers crossed it will be done by the end of the year.

2025-06-07 20:09:33 +0000 UTCThe 5XXX series have serious power delivery issues. They tend to burn the PS supply connectors to the cards. Check every once in a while that every thing is ok.

2025-06-07 14:25:05 +0000 UTCWell I still write and pose with the same speed, but at least what I pose during the day, will be rendered by morning when I wake up and on top of that I don't have to wait 2/3 days for one animation to be rendered. Hopefully I can render any animation in less than 12h. The reason why I'm retiring the 1080s is because the machine has been failing for the last year. I keep fixing it every time I'm starting to render animations and on top of that the 1080s run really hot. So in the room where I keep the machines even with an AC turned on 24/7 sometimes it's getting hot there, so having one more machine that doesn't bring much to the table except heat, is not a great idea, beside trying to keep all 3 machines synced up all the time is a daunting task. It's easier with only two machines.

So, how nice it would be if that meant updates are done 2-3 timex faster ;-) One thing I honestly dont understand though, why retire the old render rig? Even if it's "slow" in comparison, if it runs along with the new rig, wouldn't that stil add more renders done per hour/day? Maybe I'm missing something here, or maybe it's some BS about licensing, ie can only use whatever software on X amount of computers. Instead of 3 renders every 4minutes it would be 4 per every 4 minutes. 15 more per hour, 90 more per 6hours. Well, what do I know, Jason mah dude hopefully knows better lol ;) Either way, sweet with two 5090s, yikes. Certainly hope this will speed up 'devtime' for the remaining updates nonetheless .
