An important part of Subaru's character throughout this next arc is the idea that he's trying to build "an unshakeable heart made of steel." Rem's From Zero speech is an important part of Subaru's character as he uses it as a source of strength in order to become a hero that never gives up, and as an extension of that he believes that his heart must become stronger. That's all I'll say on that for now, since it develops over the course of the arc. Of course, in the anime we get barely any of Subaru's inner monolgues and so this idea is not as clear as it could be, especially when you first watch the series through. There's also the fact that the anime version of Subaru is toned down in a lot of regards compared to the Subaru we see in the web novel (I've yet to read the light novel for Arc 4 so I can't comment too much on his character there). Web novel Subaru can definitely do some... crazy things at times over the course of this arc, but that's neither here nor there. Just enjoy the ride that is this arc, cus hoo boy it goes places.

The anime kinda framed the Crusch surviving thing weirdly. We see that in the fight with the archbishops that Rem is able to stem the blood loss with her own healing magic, even if Crusch did pass out from blood loss/shock. Felix is one of the most powerful healers currently alive in the Re:Zero world and it's stated multiple times that so long as someone is not dead, he is capable of healing them. Therefore, so long as Crusch was alive when they got to Felix, which would be likely thanks to Rem, Felix could heal her to make sure she wouldn't die, even if it causes him great emotional distress initially. The next issue is if healing can reattach limbs in Re:Zero. The simple answer is that so long as the healer is good enough then limbs can be reattached so long as it hasn't been cut off for too long a time. We know the mechanism behind why this happens, but we don't know how much time it takes before a limb cannot be reattached

The flashes of Rem and Subaru right before Gluttony eats her are actually images from two stories that the English community refer to as Sloth IF and Rem IF. Sloth IF is an alternate timeline where Rem decides to run away with Subaru and we see them pretty far in the future as a married couple living in Kararagi with their children. Rem IF basically tells the story of them moving to Kararagi and building a life together (I've yet to read the entire thing, though. Lots of side content to read in Re:Zero). Overall, plenty of wholesome family fun.
