It's been a while but hang tight...

Let's start by saying: "I sucked."

It's not like I was away from MTWY, it's just that I can't seem to get it right. After I finalized the writing for Chapter 26 a month ago, I ran through Chapters 21–25, and to my eyes, the former paled in comparison.

I didn't know if it was the transition, the lore, personifying the new characters, or all of it, but I couldn't be satisfied. I have read the script more than a hundred times, literally. Over and over, page after page, sentence after sentence, I keep coming up short. The number of rewrites that I did was staggering, and it was hard to believe. But I'll be damned if I release a chapter that isn't up to MTWY's standard.

Apologies for the radio silence as well, I couldn't bring myself to post here without having anything good to say. And I do have.

I have it locked and loaded, I swear. After questioning my sanity for a few days, I found that I've actually got another gear to turn on, and now I've started to remake the scenes, and it will be up by the 10th of May, I'm sorry if I let you down, but do take comfort in the fact that I didn't let a day pass by that I didn't work on MTWY.

About the Chapter:

After all the rewrites and banging my head repeatedly on my desk, the chapter's length ends up being around 80% of Chapter 25, a pretty substantial update. It's split into two acts, Act 1 is about the Zaiten family, and Act 2 is about the rest of the cast. Act 2 also paves the way for the upcoming huge story arc in the next few chapters, ending in Chapters 29 or 30. Hint: It's Akemi's.

I regret having taken this long for a single chapter, but it's what MTWY needs, and I'd rather risk losing support than release a half-assed 10-minute update that goes nowhere to seem active. How I tell the story is what's most important, especially to those who religiously play every update as it is released.
