Chapter 25 - The Choices We Have to Make

I still can't believe we're through with Book 2, somebody pinch EO, and make it hurt.
I got the storyboard done and at least half of Chapter 26 written, no estimated dates for now because you know... Also, please don't expect it to be as long as 25, ha! Kidding aside, let's talk about what's in it:

We finally get to see one of the key characters that have been mentioned a lot in the recent chapters, no, not Touka, she's definitely going to have ample screen time... I'm talking about Shomo! Some of you are probably wondering who the eff is Shomo?! Along with him come revelations regarding the whole means of time travel. We have got to start Book 3 strong after all. What else? Uhm, that's actually a lot, it's just easy to summarize. Leave the rest for when you see the chapter.

Still racking my brain on how Book 3 is going to be told, I know what I'm going to tell, it's all there. Execution is a whole different beast, Book 2 didn't do me any favors either.

Finally! <-This is what most of you are thinking—well, me too. I apologize for the missed deadlines; they looked bad, admittedly. I got cocky; the new-found freedom I've been enjoying got me smug; it got me putting out unreachable deadlines, which again I apologize for; this is solely on me. No blame on EO this time.

In any case, I say the best way to show remorse is to give our all, and I believe we did just that. Don't believe me? Play the chapter. This is the first time I won't undersell.

Technical Update

-1.9k+ Renders, 18 Animations

Here's what I want to point out. our big chapters which are 900-1k renders each were usually done w/in 30-34 days. Now, Chapter 25 which is double that is only 48 days after our previous release,  I'm ahead by at least ten, if that isn't record time, I don't know what is, and that's inclusive of the 5 days I spent recovering from illness. Still, the missed deadlines looked very very bad on my part, my mistake. And to be fair, a good chunk of Chapter 25 was written beforehand. We'll still strive to do better.

-Offscreen chapters are now integrated into the main game. There's a green arrow bouncing on the right-hand side of the main menu. Normally, you are required to clear certain chapters to unlock the offscreen ones respectively, but of course, there's an unlock button on the top right side of the offscreen menu.

Chapter Update

Hime, Kanehana, PinkYumi, and Chitose hog most of the screen time in this chapter. It's a huge chapter, and setting the tone, pacing, and sequencing of events was a monumental task. I think I took more time writing than rendering. I want to say more but I'll just leave it to you, the player and I dropped more than enough teasers.

Dev Comments - Important

I rarely get to put "dev comments" and "important" together it's usually me, ranting, I'll enumerate it:

-There's a 5 4 3 2, countdown at some point in the chapter, only click once when you get to two. EO did his best on this.

-Turn on the in game music.

-Watch out for spoilers.
