Chapter 23 - SuperMC

Let's start with the changes made to this version compared to the most recent one.

- If you have read my announcement on Discord about EO moving the save location, he still hasn't. There was a little communication error between us. Play as is, thank you.

Update on Chapter 24 and Book 3

I got the storyboard done for chapter 24 and most of the MTWY-miscellaneous stuff ready to post simultaneously. It'll come a lot faster than the recent releases, for sure. Our goal is to have Book 3 up before this year ends and finally ease the burden of handling the file size. 6 GB on PC and 1.5 GB on Android, while compressed as much as possible without losing any visual integrity, is a lot; it should be around 7 and 2 GB when the book ends. I'm heavily excited to show the shift in storytelling in Book 3.

Honestly, it's an odd feeling to be this far into the main story already. Ecstatic and joyful that we have come so far along, but a little disheartened that we didn't break the 100 patrons for this exclusive release, *Aww man*. But I am happy all the same that something that only a few years ago was just a figment of my imagination is now real, and now I'm sharing it with thousands and thousands of fans.

I must say, even though we're already closing in on book 3, there is still a lot untold in the main story, and if you think the twists in the second book are surprising, then, hoo boy, buckle up.

If anyone remembers how I stated that this chapter is shorter than 22, well, it's not; it's on par, storywise. I also had multiple working titles for this chapter, but I didn't need to make a poll since I like this one, the others were ass and it really fits the chapter's narrative. The chapter's title was almost "Soup." The other title was the team name that won on the recent poll, "Scarlet Monkey," buttttttt neither title captured the chapter's theme.

Technical update

-4.5k Lines of Code, 1,400+ renders, 11 animations

-EO has finally managed to find a solution to the saved file getting deleted on Android Devices if you uninstall MTWY. Sadly, in order to do that, you may need to start over or perhaps transfer your saved file manually. Still pondering whether we'll implement this now since we will be flooded with questions about it.

Chapter update

The last chapter was tedious, due to it having mostly scenes with 3 or more cast members, this one is difficult because aside from it having almost the same thing, they have to be more active. I tailored this chapter to showcase more of the cast's dynamic with each other, so we took a break from the last 2 chapter's more serious themes and made this one whimsical.

Originally, that wasn't the plan; as you may have heard/read somewhere, book 2 ends on the 25th chapter and I mentioned Rion playing a bigger part in this chapter. So here's how it was done: The approach to the last 3 remaining chapters of book 2 is crafting it as a whole, Like with what I did with chapters 10 and 11 of book 1 yet finishing each chapter strongly and with more than enough progression in each, which contributed to this chapter taking longer once again. So what I did is I swapped out events from each chapter to produce a more cohesive flow on the storytelling. As always, I like this chapter more than the previous but of course, I'd love to hear what you think.

With that in mind, I swear the next two chapters will be way faster than the last few updates. Sorry 'bout that!

EO is a twat, we missed two days because of his twatness.  Okay, that's out there; we can move on. Hope he reads this. I had a lot of fun with the scenes in this chapter, but it was difficult, the entirety of the pool scene and sequencing alone took two days to write and four days to render; mostly because it was meant to be in disarray. Oh and please save on the "Chapter - END" not on Miho presenting our pages on the screen.
