Hyao here with a bunch of news as I promised.

As you already know I was dealing with some kind of writer's block. I had a hard time keeping my usual pace of work. It did stress me out, because I felt I'm not providing enough content to make all of your folks satisfied. Seeing all the positive feedback makes me happy, but I also don't think I deserve it at the moment.

I was wondering about what to change for the last couple of weeks. It's not coming easy to me, as LD is basically the first thing I'm proud to accomplish in my life. Before I started working on it I wasn't sure what I'm going to do with my life.

I already had plenty of help with developing the project from Virile who was not only proofreading and testing the early builds, but also wrote scenes for some characters. While this remains unchanged I decided to hire another person who is going to help with the content.

Brimscorch will be joining the team as an co-writer. The first piece of content written by him you will be able to see in update 0.55 where he will expand the background of one of the characters already in the game.

What does it mean for me?

I don't intend to put less time into my work. It will allow me to shift my attention from LD to some other projects I would want to attend. Staying for such a long time within one world might have been partially responsible for the burnout. Among many other things. I hope that working on something new can help me in the long run.

To make it clear: It doesn't mean the LD development will slow down.

What does it mean for you?

• LD will still be updated monthly as it used to be. With extra help the amount of content should remain fairly the same or larger.
• Bonus content I will be working on. There is an old project I started before LD. It's a more conventional VN type of game, but one that I wanted to return for some time already. Besides that I also plan to do some short stories. Keep in mind that all of this won't have any specific schedule.
• Changes on Patreon. No worries, 1$ tier will remain. For some time the 5$ tier didn't get as much as I would want to provide. Most of the bonus content will be added to this tier. I may add a new tier or two just for those who want to support me more, as I've got a couple of questions like this in the past. Another question was to turn on the annual membership which I will also do in the near future.
• Changes in discord. At some point I plan to do a big cleanup on the discord server which may result in it won't be accessible for a couple of days. I will make a warning ahead of time when it's going to happen.

I think that's all. I'm both excited and scared of the changes. I hope it'll be a step in the right direction. Soon the 5$ tier will get a sneak peak of the characters from the old project I mentioned before. Also a small short story about my bear character sometime later this week (Which is an NSFW one). The release of the 0.55 update for LD is still June 5th, unless something unexpected happens.
