Monday transparency report
Added 2025-06-02 18:11:14 +0000 UTCHi guys! Our illustrator lovely Victoria is hard at work creating clothes and other art assets for the restructured Lifepath.
The avatar has had a small body upgrade – with some redrawn, uh...features 🥵 – and she’s looking hotter than ever au naturel.
But she still needs lots of clothes to strip out of – way more than we’ve had in previous episodes – so V needs a little bit of time to get all this stuff drawn. V will start posting some more insights on her work (and some wardrobe sneak peeks) in upcoming transparency reports, so you can see it taking shape.
Meanwhile, I’m replacing placeholders and improving scenes based on tester feedback. Contributor DESpear has been punching up one scene, and also pitched a totally new one that’s short (but really hot).
We’re also working on a technical problem related to avatar colour layers not aligning properly on different devices. We have a brute force solution already (which will work on all devices and browsers, but is a tedious pain in the ass to implement). We’re trying to figure out something more elegant, but will revert to the brute force fix if necessary.
I’m also working on some new Bangkok content, specifically a short new quest where the heroine gets an early look at one of Daeng Kriangsak’s private parties.
It's all coming together! We'll get back to work on it tomorrow. 🦀❤️🔥

Just wanted to say I really appreciate the weekly progress reports; I genuinely feel reassured that things are progressing and being worked on, which means I find myself being a lot more patient than I usually would be, and I love getting the short insights in to your creative process, I'm pretty sure I'd be having much of the same struggles and doubt, and it's refreshing to see i'm not the only one, and to know that someone can deal with that and still produce content that I really really like. I sometimes get the feeling you might be trying to do too much for just one update or you might have set yourself incredibly high standards, but on the other hand, I trust in your creative process and I couldn't tell you what not to do or what to do differently, I'm no psychic or anything like that :) I'm personally a big fan of the kind of lifepath/introduction style, so I can't way to see what you're doing with it for the next update, and I'm glad to see you're putting in the time and effort to get it right.

I'm wondering if it's designed that way or if it's a bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- In the bar in Bangkok, there were many images that said "placeholder". What do you have in mind? Do you want to place real pictures or make a drawing? The images were OK for me, but you had to delete all the text that said "placeholder".

2025-06-02 18:50:21 +0000 UTCI love and appreciate the work you're doing and I dont want to see too harsh But, last report you said you were in the final phase. Now you say V will be doing updates in the following reportS. Suggesting it will be at least weeks. You're talking about people pitching new scenes to be added and working on new Bangkok content It's been almost 13 months since a slimmed down, unfinished beta and 18 months since the last update goiing from 1.20.0 to 1.20.1 people are paying subscriptions here (could be on and off) and only getting promises of progress, rewrites, updates, going quiet, nearly there, adding more, rewriting extra things, nearly there, progress... It seems like when V has done all the artwork in the next however many weeks. You will have added new scenes or want to rewrite more things. That will cause more bugs to fix and more artwork for V to draw. Rinse and repeat I really dont want to come across as mean, I know you've said at times that it can be stressful You really need to just bite the bullet, say enough is enough. Remove bugs you know about and release an update. Tbh, it was probably time to do that 6 months ago. I'd much rather recieve smaller, more frequent updates where loads of people can play and give feedback whilst also feeling like their money is worth it Again, i love the work and versions of the game I've played so far and I know youre working hard. I want this to hopefully come across as "tough love" rather than mean
