Downloadable versions added
Added 2021-09-30 08:24:32 +0000 UTCI don't really get why this is such a popular request, but I added links to a downloadable version of 1.13.1.
So I guess now the people who don't have the internet can play it. But how do they download it, if they don't have the internet? π€
Making downloadable versions is easy, it's just really boring. I did it because I love you. Thanks so much to everybody who played and commented on 1.13, and especially to all the supporters β you guys made it possible. Info on 1.14 will follow soon.

I doubt that doing it takes up an amount of time that seriously compromises development, and my point was that releasing the downloadable version is a key part of development. It is part of the project, just like when Ren'py devs release a version for Mac or Android. I've been a patron for a few years now. I'd like to be able to play the game if the servers are down, or having a bad DNS hair day, or Crush wins the lottery and moves to Bangkok to run a real life female agent brothel instead of writing a game about it.

Also, there are no guarantees that your image server will be up always, or even 5 years from now. Also, some folks probably want a deeper look into the assets and how they are structured. Once upon a time, this project was going to produce an engine other people could make games within, IIRC. Downloadable versions are essential. For the player, and for you. The fact a full archive of the game exists only adds to its longevity. Someone may pick up FA 20 years from now, and they can because they aren't reliant on an image server still being up, somewhere. Boring or not, the downloadable version shouldn't be seen as "optional", IMO.
