November Ops Beta Test

Greetings, Operator.  Attached is a beta test version of the sex scene we're adding in the next version of Female Agent (target release: Nov 30).

It's still a work in progress, but it should give you a feel for a few things:

Is it hot?  Am I on the right track?  Please let me know your thots, either here or on Discord.

Maybe? I'm not sure if I felt there were too many or not. For the 3D roller, all I'm really asking for is to make it optional, not to exclude it from the game entirely. Much like Roll20 has 3D dice but also the option to just click and get your result instantly.

Thanks so much!

Thanks James! You're right that there have been major improvements in how fast we can create content. I'm really excited about it 🤞🏻

Thanks HG, especially for the feedback about the length of some of the passages. I think you're right and I did some editing today. In terms of effort, yeah, a week is about accurate in this case. Bear in mind that this is a test of a new way of writing sex scenes overall: sexier than the existing "sex engine" approach, but much faster to deliver than Dubai. I hear you on the dice roller, but I'm not crazy about cutting it: I feel like the dice are inherently dramatic somehow. Did you feel that there were too many rolls?

Thanks Kurt :-)

Awesome, thanks :-)

Thanks Samus! This event will be for all agents (but there are some variations for her different backgrounds). In the future, it'll be possible to add in alternative events so that different agents can have different backstories.

There is work in this scene that can be better but for a beta relaese is this very good looking and I hope to see it in the official release. Keep the good work coming.

Well you have to remember that even if it is optional most people will want to watch the BJ scene like you are playing a sex game why wouldn't you? (apart from RP which is fine) also I'm assuming this will be on all routes just like on the last update where you all have to roll for your exam results. Also the scene was created in like 1-2 weeks (I'm pretty) and it won't have been the only thing they are working on so there have obviously been major improvements in creating the content. As for dice roll and the scene itself I guess just comes down to personal preference as you mentioned.

I'm kind of sitting here thinking about all the previous things that have happened in the past like with the Dubai event. This was a pretty long scene for something that will no doubt end up being entirely optional won't it? Some players may never even see this based on character creation choices if I understand correctly. From there, I have to know, how long did it take to create this scene? If it was relatively short, say, a week, then that isn't too bad. Though one must also consider that many of the branching paths were not written/dead ends. I guess I'm just saying that this feels like another one of those moments where there's a lot of effort being put into the buildup to the game but the core gameplay still has not been worked on at all. I would *really* suggest going for an alpha build of making a quick and dirty character creation and lifepath, and doing the starting blocks of Bangkok before working on scenes like these. You can always insert them later down the line. Other than that, my main personal criticisms of the scene itself were: 1. It felt really long. Like, a little too long for me. This might just be a personal thing, but my eyes tend to glaze over everything when I have to read 5 paragraphs at a time, especially when there isn't a choice at the end except to move to the next block of text. The quick single lines of dialogue was good, as were the shorter 3 paragraph or less descriptions, but the longer paragraphs dragged (again for me personally.) 2. I have mentioned this in a post before but I would still like an option to turn off the 3D dice roller and just make it a normal RNG roll. I get impatient waiting for the physics of the thing to settle and I find it irritating that the time I have to wait is so varied. If I roll a die in real life, it will give me a result in 1 second or less with 100% consistency. I just did a bunch of test rolls in the game by looping a die roll and it can be anywhere from 1 second to almost 4 seconds (though the vast majority were between 2 and 3 seconds.) For me personally, I would rather have an instantaneous result, though again I don't know if others feel this way.

Really nice good work!

Really liked this event, felt really well structured and was fun!

Wow I really liked this particular event, very relatable lol. Anyway the dice rolling was fine, it is very similar to DnD and other RPG board games (IE stats gives an advantage or a disadvantage). I hope there are more events like this for each lifestyle, I assume this one is the Geek? Like for instance the popular chick or cheerleader could have something similar but with like the football team? That would be hot!
