No, you did not get scammed. In order to get the latest files that we provide, you'll need to connect your Patreon and Discord accounts together in Patreons Connected Apps portal (under settings). Then you'll be automatically added to our Discord server.

So no matter how many times I tried, I couldn't get access to the Discord Server. No everything works just fine.

If you're having issues joining Discord server. In Patreon, go to Settings > More > Connected Apps > Discord. Make sure you click join server for the available servers and make sure that you are connected to the correct discord account.

I subbed for the $9 tier but only really wanted to try RTGI as of right now and move on to the other stuff as I learn. It's actually not a waste if you use discord. This is how ALOT of modders are securing their creations. They use Patreon as a way to safeguard their files. That way if the stuff get's leaked, they can narrow down their suspect pool. It's not full proof, but it helps. So if you want the shader files, you HAVE to download discord.

Idk about the individual issues people have had with the discord linking, but I tried it for the first time and it worked for me. So by default you can still get RTGI, but it's very unfortunate if the lack of response or other bugs are keeping people from the releases...

Yeah, there aren't any files on Discord unless you want to look through a needle in a hay stack. Maybe there is some post in there with files attached but good luck. Why the hell don't you just sell the god damn thing ecommerce. I lost the file a year ago and despite 12 months of subscription will probably never find it again.

For me it was fixed by making sure you dont have more than 100 server, then relink your discord account. It auto joined the server for me

Yeah the discord connection is broken; I have access to other creator's Discords but I've unlinked and relinked my account, waited a couple days for it to sync, unlinked/relinked again... I don't think it's ever gonna work. But also, Discord is just a fine instant messenger but it's an absolute garbage replacement for forums or wikis. I don't know why everyone wants to use it for that these days

After disconnecting & reconnecting my Discord from the Patreon apps page 3 times, I was able to join! As closeded stated, the server name is PGHub and is a neon purple icon. Before linking, you -must- make sure you're not logged into Discord: - If it's running on your phone (in the background or not), LOG OUT of the app (don't just close it) - If it's running on your browser tab, exit the tab. - If the client is running on your PC, exit the client. After doing all the above, I re-connected my Discord, then logged in on my phone, and the server appeared at the top. This is not the fault of Marty & the solution is even clarified on the Patreon FAQ: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-How-do-I-receive-my-Discord-role- The only issue was that they didn't emphasize it in big bold letters so you had to do a bit of reading. :)

The name of the channel is PGHub, so search for that after taking the "connect to discord" link, and you should be able to find it. It's tremendously tedious to find without knowing the name, if you're a member of a lot of different channels.

Actually nevermind. On your profile it says "Your patron for NaN hours". Seems Patreon is having some trouble. In the meantime you don't necessarily need Discord, browse my posts on Patreon directly for the latest files.

Anyone who has become a supporter, but is having trouble finding the link to discord - on the Pascal Gilcher page, navigate to "My Membership". From there, scroll down, and along the right-hand side of screen (on 1080p size desktop res) you will find the "Discord Community" Section which contains the link. The channels in that disco server show how to receive the files properly. Hope this helps, as I initially had trouble locating the link, felt ripped-off, then realized I wasn't looking hard enough. It's there, everyone, just look.

I am on the discord server as a guest. I do not have beta or alpha access even though I paid 20 dollars for Alpha.

It's not a common problem at all, you merely see the people commenting that didn't get it working - which don't delete the comments after it's resolved. 95 percent of people messaging me already did everything correctly, they just didn't realize they are on my server already. I already made a guide, it's right here. Additionally, ReShade and the RTGI are orders of magnitude more complex then a simple website to navigate. Signing up here is literally easier than ordering something on Amazon.

This seems to be a very common problem maybe you should make a video tutorial showing people how to fix this problem. I don't understand you would think you would do a better job so that would make more money with more happy costumers using your amazing product. But for some reason you jest send us links to instruction that don't fix the problem or are not very clear. Is it really that hard to make a few tutorial videos helping people out? It would take an hour and i'm sure would make far more money. Even if the problem is not on your end then show us how to fix it. If you don't have time then jest hire someone you would make your money back and then some.

Yes, you're not the only one with that problem. Something with the Discord or Patreon API is borked. I cannot solve it, that's up to them but I made a post about it, with the newest RTGI shader attached, so you don't need Discord atm.

Actually... It was true when I posted it last night . For some reason my internet was blocking the discord app from the link.. I had to turn off my firewall.. First time I've encountered that. If that's complicated, you wouldn't want to use my modifications anyways. ReShade and especially the RT shader are about a billion times more complex than hitting a few buttons on a website in the correct order.
