I hope you are all doing okay.
So, I was a little unsure about which stories to post this month. It's the holidays and holiday-themed stories are a must. However, not everyone is a fan of the holidays and I didn't want to shove holiday-themed stories down your throats. As such, I thought it best to keep the two main stories non-holiday related and post a few tiny holiday-related stories for those that enjoy them.
There won't be any summaries for the tiny stories, mostly because I don't know yet which ones Ibe posting.
Now, let's get to the short stories.
RED
Bill was used to losing things, to losing people. It had started with his father when he was a child and followed the trend as he grew older. And yet, when he found himself alone, it still took him by surprise. He got used to it, eventually.
Years later, when he stumbled home from work and found a child sitting on his doorstep saying they were family, Bill knew the child was lying. He had no family left. And yet...
In Search of Tomorrow
Val was used to how things were. She didn't particularly like it, but they had been that way long before she had been born. The Council watched over them. The Council's word was law within the walls they called home. The Council were the only ones allowed outside the walls. It was to keep them safe, she was told. She had no reason not to believe them. Until one day, she did.
