My head canon is that part of why Song is such a trouble maker is that he would make himself more noticable around humans to draw attention away from his sister. Because it's clear that they're both super protective of each other.

My headcanon/ hope for the future is that once they are back together, Song is the one who proposes marriage in the human fashion, because Mansa will be too nervous after last time

I think that Song didn’t want to ‘screw things up’ in some way that felt unknowable to him… so he spent a ton of time checking in and asking lots of questions and permission… which, as it turns out, was EXACTLY what Mansa needed 🥰🥰🥰

He knows all of Mansa’s signs and immediately steps in if he notices something. And if someone else says something mean about it Song gives them the angriest glare ever. A „if you don’t shut up I will claw your face off“ glare.
