Muskoka shoots BTS

Hope you guys are having a great August! I've been busy doing as many summer-y shoots as I can, and was lucky enough to have been invited by my friend (Lula King Photo & Film) to travel with her to Muskoka (:

She had to travel there to do a wedding photoshoot, and asked me if I wanted to do any casual shoots in her free time. Of course I said yes! It was a nice break to be surrounded by nature when I'm normally in a busy city.

Being a night owl who works and stays up super late, I can't believe I managed to wake up at 6 am so I could get ready in time to shoot in the early morning!  We were going to shoot in the lake near our hotel, but there were already quite a few people fishing and watching me from beach chairs, and so it was kind of awkward 😅

The part of the lake that was available to use wasn't very aesthetically pleasing, with dark water, a lot of moss/seaweed, and buoy barrier things. At least the photos and lighting in them turned out great (: I shot in a black dress, and then took it off to shoot in this black bikini with a floral kimono cover.

We then decided that we would shoot my Zelda swimsuit at the hotel's pool which was closer and cleaner for the next day. But while exploring, we found this cool area with large rock formations, giant trees and a rapid river with a small waterfall. It reminded me of the valley level from Pokémon Snap for N64! We decided to shoot my Zelda swimsuit there instead since it seemed more suited to Breath of the Wild.

I just had to be super careful since the rocks closest to the river were very slippery and I didn't want to get swept away by the currents 😅 But the photos turned out amazing! I can't wait for you guys to see them!

(Also, my friend's dog Cloud is the cutest thing ever and was my moral support during the shoot LOL.)
