Hey guys! Just wanted to post an update on a few things I've been working on, and a few cosplays that have come in as well (: My Link kimono, Aerith dress + wig, and dress I'll be using for shoots have all arrived.

The white dress is for no particular character, I just thought it would look cool with elf ears and accessories (':
Me at my shoot a few days ago! I shot the kimono and white dress later outside in like, 0 degrees Celsius windy weather and was shaking like crazy during the shoot (': But hopefully you guys will love the photos!

As for cosplays I am making, I am sloooowly working away at Kohaku and Fiora. Since there's another lockdown due to the virus, studios are shutting down again and it's gonna be cold for a couple months, so I'm not in a huge rush anymore. For Kohaku, I used Kinpatsu Cosplay's tutorials. I styled Kohaku's spiky ponytail, which took A TON of hair spray to make the spikes π
I'm not great at wig styling so it was kind of hard to do for me. I did the rope hair tie as well:

I don't know why the lighting is making the rope look two different shades, but I made the rope belt out of craft rope. I made the front from a fcouple cut-up pieces of it, and secured the ends with clear tape to prevent severe fraying.
For Kohaku's stone-looking daggers, I just used insulation foam as I usually use for weapons, and mixed silver and metallic blue paint to get the colour. I also tied cloth around the middle but it's not in this photo.

Oh man, these shoes are hell to make (and are probably hell to walk in as well). I have NO idea why Kohaku wears like, stone-looking high platforms heels to fight and walk in but okay. Kinpatsu Cosplay used thick sheets of foam as a base, and then covered it in Worbla (a thermoplastic). I'm uhhh, saving these for last but I kiiiiiind of have the shape happening (as you can see in the photo of her shoe on the right, Kinpatsu made her platform a lot lot thinner though). π I still have no idea how I'll walk in these lol.

I made parts of Fiora's cosplay by using screenshots of her in game. It was hard to find high res close-ups though! I still gotta make a few minor fixes to these accessories, but I made her big hair clip from dark red pleather and foam. The gem for her choker was made from Worbla.

While fiora's design isn't super complex, she has multiple belts that are very detailed. I've only finished the front of her belt, which I made out of brown pleather and carefully cut-out foam. The arm bands ended up being more annoying to make than I thought they would be! There's like, six colors that I had to be careful not to mix.

Fiora's thigh pieces were just made of foam that has been cut up into this design and painted a silvery-gold colour.

I don't understand Fiora's colour scheme at all lol, but here are her orange belts that I made to go over her brown belts (why are there so many belts!?).

I'm partway done Fiora's knives as well - they're supposed to be kind of a weird shape. I cut them out of insulation foam, and started shaping them with sandpaper and spackling paste. They look crappy now but I promise they'll look a lot better by the end haha.

Now I'm just waiting for my Klara from Pokemon cosplay to arrive, along with my winter Zelda. Whiiiile I very slowly work away on Hilda, Kohaku, and Fiora. π
