Backfire Chapter One (New Content)

As requested, this is the first chapter of the follow up to Hangover.

You will see it here first, though, just to be transparent, I do intend to share this chapter (and possibly the following one) elsewhere after some time has passed, simply to try to generate more interest for this Patreon. This will remain the only place where you can view any of my stories in full, and you will always see them first here, but it's hard to promote if I can't offer some samples.

Chapter One

After the incidents that had followed Amber wetting Sam’s sofa, there had been a bit of awkwardness between the two friends. Sam had been quite happy to pretend that nothing had happened. As far as she was concerned, it was all in the past. Amber, on the other hand, found it much harder to forget. This may have been due, at least in part, to the fact that Danny hadn’t been keen to put it all behind him. He taunted her at every opportunity. He was true to his word that he didn’t let anybody else find out what had happened, but that still gave him plenty of openings for making comments that brought a blush to Amber’s cheeks. Whatever the reason, Amber couldn’t just let it go.

At first she tried avoiding Sam. That was hard to do because they had so many mutual friends. It also didn’t feel right. Sam had been Amber’s best friend since they were little girls. She didn’t want the relationship to end, but she didn’t want it to carry on in the way that it currently was. Both girls knew what had happened, even if they didn’t speak of it. It made the relationship lop-sided. Eventually, the solution came to her, and when it did, it was obvious. She needed to get even.

Amber started by buying supplies. If she was going to do this, she was going to do it right. Her first purchase had been nappies. She’d hunted around online and found that it was possible to buy nappies sized for adults in all sorts of babyish designs, so she bought some of these, and some more standard pull ups. She’d got the pull ups online as well because the idea of somebody thinking they were for her was too much to handle. That was a thought that probably wouldn’t have crossed her mind before she’d been forced to wear and wet one. Amber also bought diuretic pills, laxatives and glycerin suppositories. After all, she reasoned, there was no point in Sam wearing all those nappies if she wasn’t going to end up using them. When she remembered that Sam had told her that she’d have made her drink out of a baby bottle if there had been one available, Amber bought one of those online too. The website suggested that people buying bottles often also bought dummies, potties and bibs, so she got one of each of those as well. Lastly, Amber found a website that allowed her to buy various types of school uniform in adult sizes. After all, she had been in a school uniform costume when all of this had started. Sam’s would look more authentic. However, Amber couldn’t decide whether to go for a secondary school look, or a girl’s primary school summer dress, so she got both.

Of course, having all these supplies could only get you so far. She needed a way to coerce Sam into taking part and she got the feeling that waiting for Sam to piss herself on her sofa probably wasn’t the optimal way to go about things. So she started digging. Of course, she already had some dirt on Sam, what with them having known each other for so long, but it was all the sort of thing that could be easily laughed off if she brought it up today. She needed something fresh. Something big. Amber took to following Sam’s movements online. She eventually came to the conclusion that Sam was as clean as a whistle. If she had anything to hide, it was so well concealed that Amber would never find it.

The next logical step then, reasoned Amber, was to create something incriminating. It really wasn’t that hard to do. Amber set up an online dating profile with pictures of Sam and started flirting with lots and lots of men. Of course, these flirtatious online messages were all recorded, and Amber made great effort to ensure that they were explicit and could not be laughed off as just a bit of casual conversation. Amber was sure that once she had enough of them built up, all she would have to do is tell Sam that if she didn’t go along with Amber’s wishes, she would show all these messages to Dominic, Sam’s boyfriend.

Feeling completely prepared, Amber waited until, Becky, her house-mate had gone away for a few days and invited Sam over. They had a few glasses of wine before Amber put her plan into action.

‘There’s something I want to show you. It’s in the bedroom,’ she said.

‘Amber, you know I don’t swing that way,’ Sam joked.

‘Very funny. But seriously, come and have a look.’

Inside the bedroom, Sam was shocked to see all the things that Sam had bought. Nappies, a dummy, wipes, powder, even a little potty.

‘Um, Amber… what is all this?’ said Sam.

‘It’s for you, silly.’

‘What do you mean?’

‘Well, after what you did to me, I thought turnabout was fair play. I feel like we can be better friends if I level the playing field somewhat. So, for the next couple of days, you’re going to use as much of this stuff as humanly possible.’

‘Ams, there is absolutely no way…’

‘Oh, but I think there is,’ said Amber. ‘You see, I didn’t want people finding out that I’d wet myself. You probably don’t want Dominic finding out about all the men you’ve been talking to online.’

Sam looked confused. Amber flipped open her laptop.

‘I didn’t write those messages. This was a stupid plan Amber.’

‘I know you didn’t write them; I did. But I used your name, your pictures. As far as Dominic is concerned, and the men on here for that matter, you sent them. So, if you want this all kept under wraps, you need to co-operate.’

‘I already told you, this was a stupid plan. Dominic and I both work in IT. Do you really believe that he wouldn’t be able to identify that those messages were sent from your laptop? I bet you didn’t even use a proxy, did you?’

‘A what?’

‘Exactly. You’ve just tried to use technology to screw me over, despite me being a professional and you not having any idea what you’re doing. You haven’t got any leverage here.’

Amber was distraught. All this work, and Sam had been able to dismantle her plan in seconds.

‘I half expected some sort of revenge attempt, which is why I kept the pictures from last time, but if I’m honest, I thought it would be something better than this.’

‘You kept the pictures?’

‘Yes, and it’s just as well that I did. As I’ve said, you have no leverage. I have just as much as last time, so have a guess at who is going to be using this stuff? I’ll give you a clue; not me.’

‘Sam, you can’t! You promised that was the end of it!’

‘And it was, until you decided to drag it up again, with this lame-ass revenge plot. I can’t help but feel that your heart wasn’t really in it, what with it being so feeble. Maybe this is exactly what you wanted?’

‘No, look, let’s forget the whole thing,’ said Amber.

‘How long is Becky away for?’ asked Sam.

‘Four days,’ said Amber.

‘Well then,’ said Sam, ‘You’ve got a lot of nappies to get through and not a lot of time to do it. We’d best get started.’
