Update 18/5/21

Morning, all! I can’t remember if I shared this section of the Naga Apocryphal Tale I’ve been dabbling with or not. I’m pretty sure I did share it on Discord… Wellp. Anyway. Hope it gets a laugh out of you all.

Some of you may notice this update is a few days late. I’ve done this on purpose, because today is my thirtieth birthday. And I did not plan to live this long, so I do not know what to do now. So, I ate a doughnut shaped like a narwhal to numb the existential pain. It was a good doughnut. With a little marshmallow horn and everything.

Okay! So! Dark is done. Self Insert went up at the start of the month. Elfsekai is in progress, and I’m doing my best to ignore Blazing Trinity because I’m starting to think it might just be easier to scrap this draft and start again. Writing progress is still being made!

My finger is getting better, too. My range of movement is getting better every day, and I don’t need to put a heat pack on my hand for twenty minutes every time I want to do my exercises now. Which is good, because I still gotta do them five times a day. But, it’s actually healing, so I guess it’s good. I go back to work next week, too, so… yay?

I actually haven’t been playing much Mass Effect. Aside from the nine straight hours I spent literally only doing side quests yesterday, I haven’t sunk as much time into it as I’d been expecting to. I just… I’ve had other shit to do. Mostly painting and listening to The All Guardsmen Party on YouTube. Which is fucking hilarious. It’s basically the exploits of a group in one of the Warhammer 40k RPGs. But… think of it like a whole party of Fighters in D&D terms, and you’ll understand the madness. A channel called The Tale Forge has been doing readings of it since like 2016, and it’s just a lot of fun.
