Update/Preview 10th Jan 2021

Hello again, all! Have a look at a bad joke I’m very proud of from the interrogation scene of my dumb isekai story. Low hanging fruit, I know, but I couldn’t help myself.

So, progress is still slow. I always have trouble with these early points of stories, though. I’m beginning to get some traction with the isekai story, though, and I’ve been working on my novel again, too. I may preview that next week, there’s another joke I put in there I’m proud of, too. It’s nice to relax with my writing again, honestly. No deadlines, no problems lol. I’m hoping to have a chapter-ish size thing from this Isekai thing I can pass through MinuteRice and post here around the 14th, then hopefully some more stuff by the end of the month. So we’re still kinda sticking to the schedule.

Because, really, who takes ‘breaks’?

IRL my life has been a veritable orgy of miniature painting and wargames for the past week. I found out that there’s a smaller, narrative-based version of the Middle Earth Battle Game (Lord of the Rings Warhammer, basically) similar to the stuff I’ve been playing with Age of Sigmar lately, so I’ve kinda gone gaga for it. YOU CAN’T WAVE TOLKIEN UNDER MY NOSE AND NOT EXPECT A RAGING NERD BONER, OKAY!? Ahem. I’m building a Mirkwood wood elf warband, basically, and I’m looking at some of the old OOP Warhammer fantasy wood elves to use as original hero models. It’s a lot of fun, actually being able to play these things.

I’ve slowly been easing myself back into watching anime, too. Just having some old classics on as I paint, ya know? I got through all of Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 and the first Tenchi Muyo OVA series this week. I’m honestly not sure where to go from here, though. I love both of those shows, so I kinda wanna keep going with the classics I know I like. But I don’t know what to watch next! First world problems, I know.

Okay, enough rambling for another week. I’ll think up some polls for February’s SI!Dark chapter and post them soon(ish). Aside from that, look forward to fun stuff! Nagaspeed, friends!
