Infamous Quest Updates

Well - here's a little update in the world of IQ stuff....
Quest for Infamy - Roehm To Ruin
I've actually done a bunch of work with RtR this week. I spent a LOT of time cutting up lines from the raw recordings for a bunch of characters, editing for volume, etc. and implementing them in the AGS engine! We have so many characters voiced now... there's still more to go, though. Recording sessions with Steve Patrick, voice of Roehm, will continue next week - the process of cutting and editing his lines will be a big task, that will probably take the bulk of my time for the next month. But when they're in engine.... well, I'll be excited. It'll be good to hear his voice again. Then when all roles are in game - it's time for testing! Yay, right? Anyone interested in that please let me know. We gotta make sure all the voices work and bugs are squashed, including spelling/grammar errors, etc. This is real tedious, clerical stuff, but all a part of the process. Then we can unleash this game and hopefully people will have a good time stepping into Roehm's boots again.

Order of the Thorne - Fortress of Fire
Still in the midst of production, Fortress of Fire marches on. We have the backgrounds in engine, and work has begun developing the story path/puzzles in engine. This has definitely been in the background the last few months as we've focused time on finishing RtR, but with RtR's release, production will ramp up on this again.
With the production of this game - we're also working on what I'm tentatively calling "The King's Challenge: Director's Cut". There were things we changed about OotT:TKC during production, and we're going back to offer a director's cut of the first game - it will make the two games dovetail better, and in fact - there will be a version of the game called "Order of the Thorne" which is just one game, containing the entirety of The King's Challenge and Fortress of Fire. I'm excited about this, as there was a lot of OotT that we didn't full implement, integrate and explore and this version of the game will do so. I hope people enjoy the conclusion to the story and the quest feel fulfilled to them.

Frogsheen
In 2022, production will ramp up on Frogsheen in Sonoland again - I'm hoping to finish up that game next year as well, so we'll have our first platformer available for PC and Consoles. I've had a strong positive reaction to the game when I've had it out a cons for demos, so I'm hoping that we can tackle another genre like this and give it our spin. I've had fun working on and developing it and I can't wait to dive back in.

It's hard out here for indie developers - I know I have all the wishes and ambition in the world, but we definitely lack the time and resources to dive into this all as hard as we'd like to. But we're still working on things when we can, and the important thing (to me) is that we do it our of genuine love and appreciate for the games. So we appreciate your support so much - I know so many of you are possesed by the love and awe for games like the ones we make, the ones our friends make, and the ones made before that inspired us. So thank you, Patrons, for contributing to help us keep making these games. It's been a weird few years, but my resolve to make and finish these projects is very high! With your help, we're going to do it. So thank you - wishing you the best in the new year, here's to 2022!
~Steve
