Horizons

Hey patrons! Well, it's been a great week behind the scenes; we've gotten a lot of work done on our games, and I just get excited when we have these little pushes.

In indie development, things happen in weird paces - at the start of a project, there's all kinds of buzz - ideas flow, things happen, bits get made... but you can only do so much because you're doing this kind of dev in the time you have.  Most everyone who has or does work on an IQ game has other jobs or responsibilities - the work isn't full time, or collaborative in person in an office. For me, as a project leader, I try to leash the times of high activity together with the times of low activity.  This can be tedious, but I try my best. What I like about IQ and the people who work here is no matter the gap in action, people GO ON. We make it happen.

I would love for one of our projects to be a little more financially successful in the future, to maybe even fund more games and more full time dev time. But I think what we have now is amazing.

Your funds from Patreon helped me fund this professional "box art" for Frogsheen by Brendan Toy, for instance.  This isn't the final version, but he's made this promo art for the game that I just love.

He's still touching up details, but how cool is this?

On other fronts, I have been getting in more and more voice actor files for Roehm to Ruin. That's the big thing here, just finishing that up.  I know, it's boring. I get files in, I chop them to tiny bits, save it as something like "GRAG001.OGG" and put it in a folder! But in the end, we'll have a fully voiced QFI game that brings to life some of the irreverant and funny dialogue I hope you expect.

I'll try to post more updates this week, cause I like having you in on the process. Thank you for all your support.
