Tapa Update #10 - All Quiet on the Western Front

Behind the Scenes
Nothing much to report

Yeah, so, sometimes there's not much news to report, and that's cool too.

Okay, there's a little news. I'm working on getting the next video all finished. Should be there in the next two weeks or so. Prepare for a ... how shall I say? ... quite heated topic. ^_^

Qomments and Cuestions
Video: Turkey is Over
"The YouTube algorithm is NASTY for recommending this video TODAY of all days..."

Aw man, I really love when stuff like this happens ... not the problems in Turkey, obviously. I'm talking about the fact that, on a long enough time horizon, a video I made about one very specific thing will often be read by people in a completely different way. The video has nothing at all to do with the political state Turkey's in, and yet, people get that idea by the title and thumbnail I selected in combination with this specific point in time. A good reminder that, despite the cliché perception that things are painfully stagnant and change is coming way too slow, we're actually witnessing history in the making every day we get out of bed. Doesn't mean that's always a good thing, though.

Interesting Stuff
Vienna's upside-down tram livery

Vienna's flag is red-white. Vienna's trams, however, for decades and decades, have been white(/grey)-red. Why? Are they secretly Polish?

Well, I don't know. Maybe someone at Wiener Linien has an idea.
The two reasons I'd find most convincing, though, are 1. that white on the bottom would seem quite awkward, as you wouldn't be able to easily pick up on the lower part of the livery from a distance; it blending in with the sky/asphalt next to it and all, and 2. the upper part of a tram is mostly made up of windows, so there wouldn't be much red to see on there anyway.

Foxes are really cute animals. Imagine one in your mind's eye right now. See? Real cute, no?

Have a good one!

Foxes are cute! I saw one last week, when I was driving home. I am very thankful that it was on the side of the road. I couldn't forgive myself for running over something THAT cute (and at the same time somehow majestic)
