Funnily enough, the ORIGINAL sketch (third image) is actually slightly ahead of the current finished page. In the next page (spoilers) we'll see Magna laying on Leo's lap using that very same second-to-last panel pose. Fun to see how i've shuffled some of these panels a bit in order to reshape the narrative a bit!
Now, on to the elephant in the room. That final panel in the re-written sketch page (2nd image)? YEESH. a little TOO much of a bummer, if you ask me. Sure, it's real introspective for these two, but i dunno WHAT i was thinking when i wrote that down! it's just a little too out of the blue! sure, they've being very flip-floppy with their feelings (as Magna better points out in the finished page) but having them both just suddenly DROP such a introspective brick of text out of nowhere? it seriously needed a do-over. and a do-over is what we got!
Instead of the two being WAY too down-in-the-dumps about themselves, i've spun it in a decently-less-depressing way! resulting in a lovely set up for the next page~
