Slapstick Together Chapter 1 REBOOT (62)

Woah, it's been a while, huh? almost a whole month!
Terribly sorry for the break there, but the April celebration of Swapstick Together is very time consuming! Having to relearn how to draw all my characters in their Toony style and all-

but that's not why we're here! we're back on the comic clean up, baby! woo!!

ahem, anyway, i've done a tiny bit of dialogue rewrite on this, to help show that Magna's getting her confidence back! this flows better with all of the upcoming pages, which will be almost brand new for you guys, as i re-wrote and re-sketched them sometime last year, but never really updated it here on Patreon.
(but we'll talk more about those when we get to em! one of them actually needs yet ANOTHER tiny re-write. comic making's a lot of back and forth work!)
the point is, they'll both go into the intimate pages a lot more comfortable and confident with each other, which i think is important!

Other than the dialogue, there was a very tiny change to Magna's expression on the 6th panel. no more of her trademark raised eye-brow, so sad! i'm sure we'll see it again some other time. (just checked the next page sketch, and spoiler alert, she indeed has a raised eye-brow on that, so all of you raised eye-brow enjoyers won't have to wait long)

i've also included in this post some scrapped attempts at some of Leo's caricatures!
A navy shirt variant, along with a different face attempt for the Tom Jones Leo. and at first i wasn't too sure about depicting Leo as Caesar, since he doesn't have have hair, i couldn't really make him look like a Leo caricature without it (even tried using the horn as the little hair dongle, but it just didn't look right!) so i gave Sue a shot, and even considered old lovable Stacy, but ultimately, i knew i wanted to try and make Caesar work, as Dandy Demon was always a huge inspiration earlier on for my comics, and i wanted to pay respects to it!
Ultimately, i just gave Leo the style of hair that Claudia (Caesar's Mom) has, as i believed most faceless do. oh, and i also originally gave him all of his colours, but i thought mimicking for the comic-monotone-iness made it stand out a bit more among the others!

all and all, i'm pretty happy with how it all turned out in the end!
yet another set of references that i managed to cram into my comic
onto the next page!
