A Not-So-Great Update

Let me tell you, folks. It's been a rough couple of weeks here at the Slapstick Together headquarters.

Even putting aside from pretty un-fun health issues that should hopefully be on their way out, there's some pretty sucky stuff i want to update you guys on.

• About three days ago my computer decided to stop booting up. it has been occasionally struggling to boot up, but i didn't think too much of it. (The computer is about two years old, and is a relatively decent machine, just for reference.)
  
  After a bit of tinkering around, we couldn't quite figure out if it was the mother board that had an issue, or the power supply, or WHAT, so, realizing this was something i couldn't fix, and since i was already considering getting some upgrades, i decided i'd bite the bullet and just buy a new one.
  
  This older computer should still be within its warranty, so hopefully i could make some of the money back from it. I bought it at a pretty terrible time (again, about two years ago) and it ended up costing me MORE than the new one i bought, which is quite a significant improvement, as far as i'm aware.

  Regardless, it was still a pretty penny, and has left me a little bit on the broke side. But it was either that, or go without working for a while, and you know that old workaholic peepaw-possum here just couldn't have that.

• Which leads me to our other issue. The SSD card with all of my work isn't responding.
  Now, thankfully, i have an external hard-drive with a backup of most of my work.
  
  key word being "most"
  
  As it's the start of September, i hadn't gotten around to backing up last months files, meaning that, if i can't get the data back from that SSD card, i'll be losing quite bit of work, including about 14 pages of the Slapstick Together reboot comic.
  
  Pages that, are all posted here on Patreon already, but that i'd have to probably go back and redraw for printing purposes, which is a good chunk of work i'd rather not have to re-do.

As you can imagine, i'm pretty stressed out over this whole thing. I'm very tired, and i've been tinkering with computers for two whole days, non-stop, which is NOT my area of expertise, but i'm doing everything in my power to get things back up and running!

Content should continue to be posted as usual on Patreon, i just wanted to keep you all informed on the situation, in case things DON'T get better and content slows down for a bit.
it SHOULDN'T, but if it does, now you know why!
