This month you voted for an ooze artificer or ranger for your Patreon exclusive but there was a bit of a hiccup—I was already writing one for an upcoming book! Maybe I'm missing some nuance of the intent here, but the 9th level feature appears to make the Grasping Pseudopod attack pointless and redundant. If the Striking Pseudopod now automatically grapples a target, why would you ever use the Grasping one? Perhaps Stickier Slime could instead increase the grapple DC of Grasping Pseudopod and then give a bonus to damage with Striking Pseudopod against grappled targets? This encourages what I think is the intended playstyle. Overall this is a really fun-looking subclass.

2021-03-17 13:43:48 +0000 UTCIt gets confusing because I didn't delete the vote on the day the voting ended but, on that date the ooze artificer/ranger option was the winner (by 1 vote!). I'll try to be more diligent about that in the future so people don't get excited about something I'm not writing this month.
