a lot of the time unfortunately, at award shows, they really have no control in how much backing track they do or donβt get and most of the time these award shows donβt care how the artists sound π€·ββοΈ

I'm about to get all the hate in your comment section. You ready? As they've gotten older, more seasoned, they, as a group, have become a powerhouse to be reckoned with. They are outstanding performers, exceptionally talented in writing, producing, and releasing music that is genuinely unique in the K-pop industry. They did it all with extremely hard work and determination. What I have also noticed, and I hate it because we used to say that no matter what, no back track was needed - ever. Some of them rely more heavily on the backing track than they used to. I don't know why, I'm not them, maybe someone is having a rough vocal week, but it's usually the same guys and I *know* they can do this. They have proven over and over again that they are the band that can do this without a backing track. So for these performances lately, it just kind of bums me out. They did it when I saw them on tour, too. I'm not saying they can't take a break, lord knows so many other bands use the backing tracks like live vocals all the time. It's just sad to see them get comfortable dropping so many lines in songs.
