And now knowing the unexplained departure he did, I feel like he thought he could do better solo and that he was better then the group and left. I can't speak for him or what was happening at the time but if he was struggling the worse thing you can do is isolate yourself in a world where you are already so isolated. It just seems suspicious that he came out with that video and I feel like he is trying to keep himself attached to the others now that he has seen how big they are, cause outside of his time in stray kids I have never heard of him.

I became a stay just recently so I can be wrong but I haven't seen anything of him really adressing his departure so maybe he wasn't ready then and is now ? I really don't know that's just my take on it, but I do agree posting the video on april fools is a strange move.

2024-04-21 19:39:50 +0000 UTCAs a Stay that came in after Woojin left, watching their old videos before finding out all the controversy around him leaving, I got weird vibes from him; I just wasn't a fan of him, either as a singer or a person. But, as much as I respect the work he's done to carve out a solo career, his constant need to attach himself to SKZ is what I think a lot of Stay struggle with. The apology video honestly just annoyed me - he was the eldest, but blames his youth and how much he was struggling, meanwhile he left literal children to pick up the slack right before a major comeback? He should have stayed quiet after all this time. His reasons are his and we have no right to know what was happening to make him leave, being an idol is not easy, and he's clearly doing ok for himself, but he needs to follow Chan's advice and separate completely from SKZ at this point.

Honest when Woojin left it hurt SKz and the fandom quite a lot bc he left without any explaination (which is fine) but it was literally before a comeback which made SKz to do everything all over again and they were so exhausted and tired. They were scared stays would leave them over the controversies bc of Woojin leaving. He was the oldest as well and hurt the members since he was very close to them before. Skz believe lavanter (song) is to be thier new beginning, which was the comeback that he left them for. I think the hate from the fandom also comes from him always coincidentally popping up whenever SKz have big events such as thier "anniversaries". How he made an "apology" video years after everything happened. I still can't get over how seungmin had to work so hard after being put in a sudden position as "main vocal" as Woojin left. Chan has said many times he doesn't want Woojin anything to do with SKz and is uncomfortable with the past skz. So please Remeber SKz is 8. And 8 will always be fate. 💗

He has gone solo since then and actually had some good songs like still dream, dive and my growing pains. Lots of stays hate him cuz he left without explanation, but I honestly think it was none of our business (u guys can reply to my comment if u like idc). He did recently post an apology video about it for some reason, bit out of the blue ngl. But overall he is a good singer regardless and u should react to some of his songs, my fav is still dream. 😁

It was pretty traumatic & stressful for SKZ and the fans. Lots of tears on stage and a scramble to redo & rerecord their entire comeback in a month. -Hellevator was their predebut MV -District 9 was their debut as 9 members -Levanter is basically their debut as 8 ("8 is Fate")
