Hundreds of years from now, humans have begun exploring the idea of populating other planets in our solar system. Remotely-piloted drone missions to Venus had ended in failure due to hostile environment. Terraforming Venus would take thousands of years, but scientists discovered ways to alter our own forms temporarily. Instead of populating Venus as humans, humanity is exploring the validity of living on the planet in different, immortal, heat-proof bodies: Phoenixes. The stuff of legend.
Scientists and researches live in anthro forms on the space station, which allows the transition to their feral forms to be much more smooth. New recruits, however, have to undergo the process for the first time...

I've been really enjoying building up a B/W manga style for my art. I know I have a lot of fine tuning to do to get it where I want it to be, but as they say... practice practice practice!! Working with screentones is particularly satisfying and I definitely need to make some more to test out on other pieces.
