Alright. Let's Do This.

Wow, I've been bad at this, huh. Well.

Hello, I'm the Game Professor. Welcome to Games as Lit. 101.

I know I've said this a few times, but apologies for the dearth of content lately. I know y'all are going to comment about how it's fine, you're here to support the creator not to buy regular videos, etc., but really. Your generosity allows me to do this and I need to be doing it. I've been dealing with a mix of burnout with the new job, and disappointment that the full-time experiment didn't pan out (even though you all were amazing and generous and I appreciate you so much), but that's no excuse for such a long content drought. You all deserve better, and frankly, making this show is better for my mental health than not making it, because I love doing it. I guess it's just taken me a while to get to the point where I'm actually freakin' going to.

So. What's next.

Most importantly, I'm filming the next literary analysis this week. After multiple planned filming nights and multiple setbacks (including the need to purchase about $1000 of new recording equipment, yay), I'm finally getting it going. In the meantime, I've also written a couple shorter scripts (one of which promises to make quite a splash, I expect) that I'm hoping to film in the same evening.

Then, directly to work on the next few analyses. I'm imposing a work schedule so I get these games played, researched, and analyzed on paper in a reasonable time, and I'm aiming to (at the absolute least) ensure a literary analysis every month. Even if one of them is quite a large game.

In the meantime, I'm going to start posting on here a lot more often with updates and such, as well as more regularly fulfilling a tertiary reward for the Game Club tier: posting our Game Club discussions here on Patreon for any interested parties to hear. I'll be posting each one from here on out as it's recorded, as well as occasionally posting older discussions that I hadn't edited together before. Expect the first one soon!

Again. I'm sorry for the lack of stuff lately. And I know this isn't the first time I've said it, so take that as you will. But I'm doing my best to get back in the saddle here after things didn't quite work out before. Hopefully I can show that with more regular updates and some nice, consistent content over the next while.

Thanks as always!

Comments

I'm excited to see your posts again! No matter how infrequent the content is, it's always still top notch and something to look forward to.
