Commission & health update

Hey everyone,

I haven’t been able to work on commissions the past couple of days because of some really stressful stuff going on. I’ll try to slowly catch up, but it’s been hard.

Not many of you know this, but I was diagnosed with normal-tension glaucoma (NTG) — it’s a type of glaucoma where damage to the optic nerve happens even though eye pressure isn’t technically high. It can still lead to permanent vision loss, even with treatment, so it has to be managed carefully.

Because last year I lost some % of my vision, I was switched to a new medication — but it’s been causing really bad side effects. My eyes have been red, watery, burning, and stinging all day long, which makes it really difficult to function, let alone focus on any art or work.

I’ve tried reaching my glaucoma doctor this week, but I haven’t been able to get through yet. I also emailed them, and I’m still waiting on a response so I can hopefully switch to something better tolerated.
