Northern Roads - Riften Border

During your travels between Eastmarch and The Rift, you will stumble upon these old border outposts now left unmanned. With the civil war going on, troops are needed elsewhere. However, if the Rift was to fall under Imperial domination you may see these old forts become way more active.

I now have to wrap up the road going through the volcanic tundra to Windhelm and then to the Morrowind border. With this, Eastmarch's first pass will be done. To be honest, it could have been done faster but I keep adding custom assets. The mod has the potential to be way bigger than expected. For example, I want to dynamically populate the border outposts depending on which faction rules the capital. There are also many secondary assets I want to implement to really make the roads interesting.

One of the challenges is to not clutter the roads too much. I try to keep large portions uncluttered to really give the player the occasion to get "lost" in the wilderness and give an impression of vastness between settlements. 

I will be quite active this week but next week I'm going back to university. Also, this means I'll be back to work during the weekends, so it's hard to say when this will be finished. I wanted to release the mod in April but I'm starting to doubt I'll manage to be that productive. Maybe I'll make two separate releases : one for the Old Holds and one for Western Skyrim. Still not sure.

I'll drop an alpha version here at the end of the week so you guys will be able to already check what has been done up until that point. It's also a way to thank you for supporting my work.
