Really Annoying Gift Card Box Ver 2.0

Hey everyone!

We finally have an upgraded version of the Really Annoying Gift Card Box!  I was starting to feel like 134 bolts wasn't enough, so now we have 296 bolts to deal with!!!

There's actually nothing different about the original pieces, I have just created 2 new layers (7 new pieces total not including bolts) that add on to the original Really Annoying Gift Card Box.  Everything is still support free.

*Note:  You can add the new 4th and 5th layers to the original box, OR, you can just use layers 4 and 5 as a standalone gift box with extra space for a bigger gift.  This option would still have 162 bolts!

Below you will find updated print instructions and all of the STL's in a zip file.  Everything has already been updated in the archives as well.

As always, thank you all very much for the support and I hope you enjoy!

- Jacob

We just purchased the Bambu Labs P1S printer and my son uses his phone to print. Does anyone know how he would print this from his phone? Sorry we are newish.

Reis Family Racing

You can use either or, they are just different tools!

ThinAir3D

which is better? the 5.5mm bolts or the 6mm bolts? and should all of the bolts be the same?

Yahia Ihab

Any chance we can get one without the bow in the middle? Or should I just slice off the bow and make it a plug?

Tim Meers

Guess how I'm wrapping my work mates gift this year \evil laugh

Paul Simister

I love your model and my sister-in-law will hate me for it πŸ˜‚

Frank NΓ€gler

please make a super annoying screw like the special screw but have one side bigger than the other so you have to put the tool in one way round

Adam Drewery

I mean, I can just keep adding more and more layers....

ThinAir3D

For the special bolt heads, it would be nice to have a model of the tool that I could put into an electric screw driver for assembly purposes.

Stacey Levine

You can just do it on the sleeve!

ThinAir3D

do i do this on the sleeve or the 2nd box?

Timmy Navarette

Tryd it, and it fits like a glove now! Fantastic option! Thx!

Marco van Dam

Any thoughts on making a 700 screw box?

nate jurgens

In Cura it is called Horizontal Expansion if i'm not mistaken!

ThinAir3D

Ok, i will try, but where can i adjust that setting? In cura?

Marco van Dam

Internal dimensions of the innermost box is 103 mm x 62 mm x 25 mm, with an opening of 89 mm x 48 mm

ThinAir3D

Its meant to be a snug fit, but I understand a few people its EXTRA tight. Could be a matter of minor over-extrusion, or maybe even minor elephants foot if it will slide on one way more easily that the other. Easy fix is to adjust XY compensation to -0.05, or -0.10 if its really snug. This is a great way to adjust tight or loose fits on a lot of models!

ThinAir3D

Only the box 2 sleeve fits to tight on the box. Any tips?

Marco van Dam

Evil thought of the day. Annoying Box 2.1….randomize the screws to left and right hand thread

Jon Larsen

What are the internal dimensions of the box?

Rhen Scura

Can I buy one?

all_knowing_egg_roll

The normal Really Annoying box uses around 400g the way I print it. The EXTREMELY annoying box uses just under a kg!

ThinAir3D

god thank ya .. that will annoy all the next christmas gifts :D

VipCold

How mutch filament does one box use?

Victor Solem

Can't wait to get this thing printed. Woukd be extra evil to add in random reverse threads.

Ben Sumner

It’ll be the file named really_annoying_ribbon!

ThinAir3D

which ribbon fits the center? i have a few sizes and none of them want to fit

Steve Moon

This is the thing that finaly made me to buy my own printer. Christmas is going to be mad this year. Thank you!

Joona Luume

If things are printing a little snug, adjusting XY Compensation at around -0.05 or -0.10 if it’s really tight helps a lot!

ThinAir3D

Any tips on printing threads good? Seems like all the things I print with threads are hard to screw together. I normally print with a .6 nozzle

Shawn Hilton

This is E.V.I.L and I'm here for it! There's definitely going to be people out there who love this and I can't wait!

Derek MacDonald

I've being using 9% gyroid with great success. I've set the bow to adaptive heights to make it as smooth as possible towards the top

Derek MacDonald

I usually just use Grid pattern at around 25%! What’s going wrong with your ribbon?

ThinAir3D

Do you have a preferred infill pattern or top pattern; my bamboo does not like to print the bow on the regular annoying box.

Ellyn Stephens

This is intense haha. So many screws to print.. so many opportunities for one of those screws to pop off the build plate halfway through haha, but so awesome and evil at the same time

Matt Carle

Looks good, can't wait to check it out.
