Acorn Stash Jar / Geocache

Hey everyone!

Here is a quick fall design idea I had in my head and wanted to get out!  The Acorn Stash Jar/Geocache.  I guess the name is self-explanatory, but it is great for storing small items or would work as a great Fall-time geocache!

The design is 2 pieces that both print support free and thread together afterwards.  They will import in the orientation they're meant to be printed in. You MAY be able to scale it down a little bit without issues, but scaling too far will cause issues with the threads.  Scaling up shouldn't cause any issues at all, so feel free to print it as big as you want.

I have attached the STL's and print instructions to this post.  They are also in the archives!

Hope you enjoy this design, and as always, thank you all very much for the support!

Omg nice there can’t be enough geocache containers

Woohoo I actually geocache and enjoying using unique containers

I’m all reality the threads are pretty thick so it could pei any scale down pretty far if it’s too big to be passable, or if we wanted it to blend more. A looped lid is definitely a great idea though, or at the very least I could punch a hole through the stem so it could be hung. I’ll have to try out the loop and see if I can get it to look right, haha

I like this! Especially how the threads are - these can be more water-resistant than other designs. But, as a geocache, it needs a way to hang it in a tree.. Maybe a "loop" top option? I'll have to print it to see what I think about the size - it looks pretty big
