last months update

Hello everyone! Sorry this month's update comes a little bit later than usual. Let's get right into it!

KINDRED HEAVENS

The bulk of this month, for Scott, was taken up by Kindred Heavens. Here's his thoughts:

EXHALE 

This month was tough, not gonna lie to you. As I mentioned last time, last month I fell behind due to conventions and a pop up project, so this month was all about catching up. Being honest, I think I was only able to do it because these pages were all relatively simple. October's pages are not, but I'm only doing 16 instead of 20, so that will help.

For these pages I tried a technique our friend Lonnie taught me, where you do the backgrounds in black and white, then use a gradient map to add color. Then, you can lay down the local colors for the characters and make them fit into the background with multiply or overlay layers. Until next time!

Unfortunately, we can't show too much from this section as it is VERY spoilery, but here are some snippets:

BRYCE'S PROSE PROJECTS

The bulk of this month, for me, was spent writing short stories. The biggest task of the month for me was finishing The Trouble in Berea, which is a novella I've been posting on my website across the last two months. As a whole, it ended up being 150ish pages, the longest prose story I've ever published. It was definitely a very difficult journey churning out 60 pages of final-draft writing a month after month, but I'm very proud of being able to do that, and very exciting to use what I've learned to make my schedule even more efficient for my next novella. That will be "The Yattering", but it is still in plotting and a few months away!

The rest of this month prose-wise I spent writing rough drafts. All-in-all, I wrote four new rough drafts, one of which will be finished and published this month. That is "The Big Hop." The others are: "Clean Up on Demon Street, Downtown Hell", "Exquisite", and "The Errant Android."

THE GOOD BAD GUYS

There was no writing done on The Good Bad Guys this month, but we officially plotted and outlined Book Three! It began writing just on the first of October and should be done before the end of this month. Woo!

HUNTER

Short update for Hunter, but it's a great one--everything is progressing smoothly! Lonnie is whipping out pages left and right!
