WEEK 3 - Updates: Discord Channel, Video Player, Persistent Login

It's been another exciting week of growth and development for chatficlab.com . I've discovered several critical bugs preventing hundreds of people from accessing chatficlab.com stories.

I spent half the week trying to fix things and transform the software into a much more stable state. There are still several issues, but the critical ones are mostly fixed. I've also enabled several security headers to make sure you benefit from the best security practices by default when using chatficlab.com

The video player is completely rewritten to use the native video player on the web. This means you'll have all the video controls (mute/skip/pause etc.) by default.

Login functionality now remembers your login information and you won't get logged out automatically with every page refresh.

Emoji support has been added. Currently, it uses native emojis, which means you'll probably see all emojis as black/white if you use a desktop browser. I'll fix this once I find the most performance-efficient solution.

There were also around ~20-30 small enhancements like reverse ordering of saved stories on the left pane, faster loads, better splash screen, more predictable navigation behaviour on mobile, faster, more accurate fast-forwards etc.

I'm working on a character customization feature (which will let you rename ANY character you want), more stories and the SFW chatfic server. If you are in the "Glass of Wine($10)" tier, you will be able to try the new character customisation feature a few days earlier.
